Continued Unrepented Sin Causes Disease! [Part 2]

You now understand that poisonous thoughts, which Scripture calls sin, causes disease.

[Training module regarding THINKING still to be released]

Does this mean that as soon as you sin, you are going to get a disease?

Deuteronomy 11 v 26-28: "Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse . 27 The blessing IF you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you this day; 28 And the curse IF you will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God..."

The Scripture says the same thing as Deuteronomy 28, but I am taking the time to emphasize it, because another common misunderstanding people have after learning this - is they think that as soon as they think a poisonous thought they are going to develop a disease, and then they panic - but it is CONTINUED, UNREPENTED sin that leads to disease.

Deuteronomy 11 v 27 says that you will receive a blessing if you obey the Lord's commandments, which means you are a doer of the Word.  Verse 28 says that the curse will come into your life IF you do not obey the commandments of the Lord which means you are not being a doer of the Word.

There are two meanings of the Hebrew word "IF" used in these 2 verses.

The word 'IF' in verse 27 is the Hebrew word 'asher', which according to Strong's Concordance #834 means that 'the blessings come quickly'.  That is the character of our Father!  If you read Isaiah 30 v 18, you will see that He can't wait for an opportunity to bless you, to be gracious to you and to show loving kindness to you... that's His nature!  When we walk in obedience - the blessing come quickly

The word 'IF' in verse 28 is the Hebrew word 'im' which according to Strong's Concordance #518 means the curse will not come quickly, but it will surely come.  For example, if somebody mistreated and hurt you and you refuse to forgive them - you are not going to get cancer tomorrow morning (the curse will not come quickly), but if you refuse to listen to the Holy Spirit (convicting you to forgive) and refuse to repent, there is a very high chance that you can eventually develop cancer (the curse will surely come).

Therefore, to paraphrase Deuteronomy 11 v26 - 28 according to the original Hebrew: God said "26 I have given you the choice of the blessing and the curse.  27 If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, the blessings shall come nd they shall come quickly (that is asher)  28 If you will not obey the commandment of the Lord you God, the curse does not come quickly, but it will surely come (that is im)".

The bottom line is that continued, unrepented sin leads to disease

The curse does not come quickly, but it surely eventually come
