IF you have not gone through the training about how most diseases have been traced back to what goes on in our thought life... If you have not yet, please go back to get an understanding of this...

Science has shown that the mind-body connection is real - what we think affects our whole body!  The quality of your health is determined by the quality of your thinking. The next few articles will address some practical questions that many people in the body of Christ is asking...

This is a good question to ask because if you thing about what Jesus accomplished on the cross - He gave us two things - both of which are symbolized when we take communion.

According to Leviticus 17v11 and Hebrews 9v22, God's law requires that there is no forgiveness of sin without the shedding of blood.  In Matthew 26v27-28 Jesus took a cup of wine and said: "For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."

From Scripture, we can see that the cup of wine in communion represents Jesus's blood that was shed for the forgiveness of sin.  According to 1 John1v9 when we repent, the blood of Jesus washes us of all unrighteousness.

Matthew 26v26: "Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is my body."

In communion, the bread represents Hid body which was broken for the healing of our diseases.

Isaiah 35v5 says: "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole."

Some people say that Isaiah 53v5 is only referring to our spiritual healing - so let's have a look at Matthew 5v17, which referred back to the Scripture in Isaiah:

Matthew 5v17: "And thus He fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah, He himself took [in order to carry away] our weaknesses and infirmities and bore away our diseases."

We can see in Scripture that on the cross Jesus took our sicknesses, and that means that as children of God we have a covenant of healing and divine health. If we have a covenant of healing and divine health - why do Christians get sick?

Then when we do get sick, James 5v14 tells us to go to church leadership to be prayed for so that we can be healed...which leads us to the next question:

James 5v14: "Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders. And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord's name.  And the prayer that is of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him."

An extensive survey was done in many churches across the world to try and answer these two questions and to find out how many people are actually healed of their diseases after being prayed for and the result (regardless church denomination) was between 2 and 5%.  LESS THAN 5%!

Psalm 103v3: "Who heals (each one of) all your diseases."

Psalm 103v3 indicates that God heals all of our disease...the Amplified Bible says every single one!  If this is how it is supposed to be, why are we not seeing the fruit of this in the church?

In reality 95-98% of people are just not getting healed despite having been prayed for...why?

Have you ever really had faith and believed God for something but didn't get a thing?

Have you ever been sick and were prayed for and yet were not healed?

And then you felt so confused and disillusioned as to why?

Although there is a covenant of healing and divine health available to born again children of God, Christians are getting sick and 95-98% of them are not being healed after being prayed for

Statistically  there is no difference between Christians and unbelievers when it comes to disease4 and psychological problems and the church does not seem to have many real answers because hardly anybody is getting healed after being prayed for.

And what happened as a result is that God's people have turned to the world for help and there is just as many Christians in doctors, psychiatrists and psychologists  offices as there are unbelievers.  The doctors have become 'the healers', and the psychiatrists and psychologists of today have become the 'pastors of the world' and if you read Ezekiel 34v1 and Jeremiah 23v2, you will see that God is not pleased about that

These chapters provide a stinging rebuke to us as a church for failing the mandate given to us in the Word of God to take care of the sick in the body of Christ

Whilst there is an important place for the medical profession, the worldly doctors, psychiatrists and psychologists of today are the result of the frustration of the failure of the Christian church.

The problem is that we do not UNDERSTAND DISEASE, even from a Biblical perspective.

Hosea 4v6: "My people are destroyed through LACK OF KNOWLEDGE."

Isaiah 5v13-14: "Therefore My people go into captivity without knowing it and because THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE. And their honorable men are famished and their people are parched with thirst.  Therefore, hell has enlarged itself without measure..."

Isaiah 5v13-14 and Hosea 4v6 say that we have gone into captivity and are perishing because of our lack of knowledge.

For most the subject of disease and healing (and why people are not healed) has not been fully understood

It is not only the church that is failing in the area of disease but also the medical profession.
